Ankara University is an institution that has identified and integrated the history and mission of the Republic of Turkey with its people. Ankara University is among the preeminent public universities of Turkey and it strives to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural and economic qualities of the nation. Being the first university of the Republic of Turkey, in the light of Atatürk’s revolutionary ideas and principles, Ankara University aims to attain the highest levels of educational standards. Significant improvements have been achieved in the research infrastructure of the University with the establishment of large-scale research centers. 1809 faculty members are employed in Ankara University, of whom 1189 are professors, 287 are associate professors and 333 are assistant professors. Our goal is to train competent graduates who are internationally qualified, confident and who can think creatively, independently and objectively.
